Shop with a Hero
Shop with a Hero is a special holiday tradition made possible by Anchorage Cops for Community, the Alaska Police & Fire Chaplains, law enforcement heroes from APD and the Alaska State Troopers, and the generous support of Walmart and our community partners.
Each year, 50 children—identified through the Anchorage School District and local community organizations—receive an invitation to join a First Responder for a joyful Christmas shopping experience. With provided funds, kids pick out gifts for themselves and their families. After shopping, volunteers help wrap their presents, and children can select a few extra surprises to make the day even more magical.
A heartfelt thank-you to our First Responder Heroes for taking time during the busy holiday season to create warm, lasting memories for Anchorage kids.
