Bikes and Badges

For many kids, the simple joy of riding a bike is a childhood staple - a first taste of independence, adventure, and confidence. But for children living in shelters, access to bikes, lessons, and safe places to ride can be limited.

That's why AC4C (Anchorage Cops for Community), Hilltop, and Kendall Toyota of Anchorage are coming together to host a special event dedicated to giving these kids the opportunity to experience the joy of cycling. For children facing housing insecurity, this event provides more than just a fun day out-it's a chance to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Learning to ride a bike isn't just about fun; it's about confidence, resilience, and the freedom to explore.

This event focuses on giving children living at Clare House, McKinnell House, and AWAIC shelter a day they will remember for a lifetime.
